BROWSE_DETAIL_TAB_ABSTRACT Six malting barley cultivars and thirty candidate lines used as plant material were winter planted under 6x6 Triple Lattice Experimental Design in 2007-08 season in Southern Anatolia region. Total rainfall in this region changed 207- 495 mm during the season over two locations such as Diyarbakır and Adıyaman and these was slightly lower than those of long term rainfall for Adıyaman but not for Diyarbakır in which annual rainfall lowered 50 % than tis of long term. In the first step of the study , variation among cold tolerance, winter hardiness, date of heading, date of maturity, plant height, spike height , tiller m-2, 1000 kernel weight , protein ratio, and coarse grain (<2,5 mm sieve) were determined and relationship among these parameters calculated .Then, these relationships among traits and genotypes bi-plotted. Additionally, yields of the genotypes were analyzed by using ANOVA and then genotypes were ranked by using LDS tests. All these statistical analyses were realized by using MINITAB and JMP statistical packages.
